King Slide Works and King Slide Technology use 100% tap water. The Company would not cause land subsidence since no groundwater is extracted. The wastewater discharge of King Slide Works includes wastewater generated from the production process and employee domestic sewage. Around 70% of wastewater generated from the production process is processed through the water resource recovery system and reused during production; the remaining 30% of wastewater is processed by the wastewater treatment system to the standards of regulations and discharged into the sea through the channels of the Water Resources Bureau.

At the procurement stage, King Slide takes into consideration all potential waste that may be produced during the production process and ensures that there is no hazardous waste specified in the Basel Convention. The three main types of waste generated from King Slide Works are employee domestic waste, general and business hazardous waste; the two main types of waste generated from King Slide Technology are employee domestic waste and packaging materials waste from outsourced components. In order to implement waste management, we carry out thorough recyclable waste classification and conduct employee education to promote the concept of waste reduction. All types of wastes are cleaned and handled by qualified waste removal agency which meets environmental protection regulations. Domestic waste is incinerated by the incineration plants, and the recycled items are handled by the recycling agencies.
